Mexican Salsa recipe

Mexican Salsa is spectacular with tortilla chips and it is a great topping for most Mexican dishes.

Serves: 4
Prep time: 10
Cooking time: none

Ingredients:

1lb / 500g ripe tomatoes, cut into 1/4 inch / 6mm pieces
1/3 cup / 2oz / 60g finely chopped white onion
1/4 cup / 1/3 oz / 10g chopped fresh cilantro (fresh coriander)
2 serrano chiles, finely chopped
2 tsps fresh lime juice
sea salt to taste

Preparation:

  1. In a bowl, add the tomatoes, onion, cilantro (fresh coriander), chiles and lime juice. Sprinkle salt and mix ingredients.
  2. If the salsa is too dry add some water. Cover the salsa and let it sit for 10 minutes so the flavors combine.
